WPC Services

WPC stands for Wireless Planning & Coordination.It is part of Department of Telecommunications under Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

WPC takes care of everything like planning, managing and regulating the resources of RF spectrum and geo-stationary satellite orbit.

This refers to two acts :- Indian Telegraph Act 1885 (ITA 1885) and the Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act 1933 (IWTA 1933) for licensing of wireless stations in the Indian subcontinent.

As per Regulatory requirements under WPC, all IT products(for each model) having Bluetooth and WiFi feature requires approval of WPC before launching same in India.

All the Foreign manufacturers who want to export their wireless electronic/IT products ie radio equipments to India need to get mandatory WPC certificate.Many products covered under this some from the list are - walkie-talkie, RC cars/boats, drones/UAV,Bluetooth devices,wireless Keyboard, Modems, wireless Mouse, Mobile Antenna, VSAT Antenna etc.
